You are considering a very nice condition Softride Rocket TT.  The frame and aerobars have under 1000 miles on them.  Considering that this design Softride is a great racing bike and an ideal daily rider or long distance rider, for the price it's tough to beat this setup.  It is a size Medium (54cm-56cm I'd say), but because the carbon beam is so adjustable almost anyone between 5'6 -6'0 should be able to hone in a nice fit.  It comes with HED carbon aerobars and aero training/race wheels.  I have attached the maximum 12 pictures to the auction but have pasted more below so check those out.   Spec's:


-8 Speed Shimano Drivetrain (with a 9 speed cassette you could make it a 9 speed using the index shifting of the bar end shifters) : Shimano 600 Ultegra rear derailleur, Shimano 600 Ultegra Front Derailleur, Topline Crankset (172.5mm length, 56/42 chainrings), Dura Ace Shifters, HED Carbon aerobars ($700 new), Shimano 11-21 cassette, Rigida DP 18 Deep 650c wheelset with contiental tires. Tires hold air.

As a bonus I will throw in two brand new Continental tires for you so you will have new tires when you decide to switch these used ones out!  A nice bike, $2500 value by my estimate retail, my buy it now price is less than half of that, and I will consider offers.


The gearing ratios are pretty ideal for racing with 650c setup.  I could include a cassette with larger cogs if you want which would be ideal for distance riding and crusing around.  The HED aerobars really stand out on this bike.  The topline cranks are light and sought after, they are a nice racing crankset still today.  The 8 Speed Shimano drivetrain is solid and ready to pedal.  So what you have is a high performance aerodynamic machine that is great for time trial and triathlon and also comfortable to train on or everyday riding; nice condition and ready to ride.  Be sure to see all of the pictures below.  Also I have the matching Small size frame for sale in another auction, these would make a nice couple's bike pair, so check that out if interested.  See the pictures pasted below. SOFTRIDE FasTT Aero Zeitfahrrahmen 26 + 28 Zoll 650c + 700ctime trial Triathlon

Zum Verkauf steht hier nur der Rahmen inkl. Beam, Easton-Gabel, Steuersatz und der speziellen Hinterradbremse (für 26 Zoll benötigt, für 28 genügt eine konventionelle Bremse), bei Interesse verkaufe ich evtl. aber auch das komplette 26"-Rad.

Der Rahmen ist mit den zusätzlich mitgelieferten Ausfallenden auch mit 28"-Laufrädern zu fahren. Um die Größen bei den softrides gibt es immer gewisse Spekulationen Der Rahmen wurde mir damals als Größe M verkauft, ist aber aus meiner Sicht Größe L, Die  Geometrie-Daten im Anhang sollen auch für die Rockets  und somit auch für das FasTT gelten. Der Rahmen ist für eine 1 1/8 Zoll-Gabel ausgelegt, hat ein BSA-Gewinde. Die Sattelklemmung ist auch dabei. So oder so, der Rahmen hat einen extrem großen Einstellbereich, bis 1,90m reicht die Standard-Sattelklemmung. Wenn man größer ist oder sehr weit vorn vorm Tretlager fahren will, benötigt man noch einen Hijacker.

Relaxed 'Big Slam' Position:

For many TT and multisport athletes the steep (76?or greater) forward aero position works very well. However, it has some compromises. Primarily that it is not very efficient when the rider is not riding hard or is riding out of the aero position (upright climbing for example). Furthermore, some riders simply cannot get comfortable in this aggressive aero position for physiological reasons. Because of this, some top aero fitters are now recommending a new, more relaxed aero position, sometimes called "The Big Slam." This position still maintains a low and narrow aerodynamic profile. However, it also embraces a more versatile road inspired position by placing the rider further behind the bottom bracket shell than the forward aero position while lowering saddle height to focus muscle groups and allow the pelvis to rotate forward. This position can enhance comfort for many riders, while increasing power output. 


Road Position: 
Most road frames are designed around classic European road seat angles, usually around 73? The 73?angle places the riders weight over the rear wheel and in an excellent position for climbing and muscle balance, while allowing for a variety of riding positions. Although there are many variables that should be considered when fitting a road frame, typical road position maximizes biomechanical efficiency when the rider is in a relatively upright position. The hip angle is at its strongest and most efficient angle for power and oxygen transfer - about 90?

Forward Aero Position:

Time Trial/Multisport frames are designed around a single position - the aero position. The aero position places very different loads upon the rider than the more upright road position and therefore requires equipment and a frame geometry that is specifically designed to accommodate the position. For maximum comfort and efficiency in the aero position, the rider will have a fairly flat torso position. This allows the load to be taken off the muscular system as much as possible by supporting the torso with the skeletal system. The key to this is to place the humerus (upper bone of the arm) at a 90?angle to the torso while still maintaining the optimal 90?hip angle for strong power output. The best way to do this is by using aero bars in conjunction with a frame that has a shorter top tube length, lower handlebar position and a bottom bracket mounted further back in relation to the saddle than what would normally be used on the road. Seat angles are typically between 76?and 81?
